Description
Mindful Mending
Mending involves slowing down, hand sewing, and appreciating what you have. It gives a second life and allows you to keep something you are not ready to part with. The very act of stitching is meditative, pleasurable and endlessly creative. Not only do you keep the pieces out of the waste stream, but you are also taking a stand against fast fashion and wasteful consumption. Using visible mending, you will make your garment usable again, unique, and keep it out of the landfill. Join us to learn four simple techniques: outer patch, inner patch, darning, and weaving. We will spend a few hours slowing down and enjoying the process.
